WISTA Malta Contributes to Landmark Maritime World Conference 2025

Malta took centre stage in the global maritime community as it hosted the Maritime World Conference 2025 from 19–21 November 2025, an event organised by Maritime World that brought together leading voices from across the industry. The conference highlighted Malta’s growing influence on the international maritime landscape and created valuable opportunities for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration.

WISTA Malta was honoured to actively participate in the conference programme. Our President, Capt. Alexia Fenech, was invited as a speaker on the Women in Maritime panel, powered by WISTA Malta, highlighting the critical role of diversity and inclusion in shaping the industry’s future. Additionally, our Secretary, Dr.Claudia Vella Casagrande, contributed to the panel discussion on “The Next Industrial Wave,” exploring emerging trends and transformations within the sector.

We were also particularly proud that members of the WISTA Malta, were invited to attend and engage in this important event. Their presence reflects the strong sense of unity and collaboration that defines our organisation.

A special note of appreciation goes to Jonathan Borg, whose continued support has been instrumental since the foundation of WISTA Malta. His commitment to advancing Malta’s maritime community and fostering international connections remains invaluable.

We also extend our gratitude to Ali Vakili, as well as all speakers, partners, and participants who contributed to the success of the conference. Events of this calibre inspire progress, generate meaningful dialogue, and reinforce Malta’s trajectory as a leading maritime nation.

WISTA Malta remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity within the maritime industry, both locally and globally.
